The rules for using PhotoProof.
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This draft must be reviewed by qualified counsel and completed with the legal company name, address, support email, governing law, and dispute terms before public release.
1. Agreement
These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the PhotoProof app, website, and related services. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, pairing a child device, or using PhotoProof, the adult account holder agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
2. Adult account holder and child use
The primary account holder must be an adult legally able to agree to these Terms and authorized to manage the participating child devices. Children may use paired child features only under the direction and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
The adult account holder is responsible for household configuration, device pairing, mission instructions, app-restriction selections, parent credentials, submitted content, and the conduct of users connected to the family account.
3. What PhotoProof does
PhotoProof helps families assign missions, request photographic proof, review submissions, track completion, and optionally apply parent-selected app restrictions through Apple system controls when configured conditions are met.
PhotoProof does not guarantee that a photograph proves a task was actually or safely completed. Automated review is advisory and may be wrong. The parent remains responsible for supervision and final decisions.
4. Acceptable use
Users may not use PhotoProof to:
- Break any law or violate another person’s rights.
- Harass, threaten, shame, exploit, or abusively monitor a child or another person.
- Request or submit nudity, sexual content, dangerous acts, unlawful conduct, private credentials, medical records, government identification, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
- Use restrictions to interfere with emergency services, essential safety tools, or legally required access.
- Attempt to bypass security, impersonate another user, reverse engineer protected service components, disrupt the service, or access another family account without authorization.
- Upload malware, infringing content, or material the user does not have the right to use.
5. Parent controls and device restrictions
Restrictions depend on Apple permissions, device settings, operating-system behavior, connectivity, and compatible hardware. PhotoProof cannot guarantee that restrictions will activate or clear at an exact moment.
Parents must configure restrictions responsibly and maintain alternate ways for a child to contact a parent, emergency services, school personnel, or other necessary resources. PhotoProof is not an emergency-control system.
6. Proof submissions and content license
Users retain ownership of content they submit. The account holder grants PhotoProof a limited, nonexclusive license to host, transmit, process, analyze, display, and retain submitted content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service and comply with law.
The account holder represents that the household has the right and appropriate consent to submit each photograph and other item of content.
7. AI-assisted review
AI-assisted review may generate summaries, confidence estimates, visible-evidence descriptions, or approval recommendations. These outputs may be incomplete, biased, or inaccurate and are not professional advice or factual certification.
PhotoProof must not be relied upon to verify safety-critical, medical, legal, financial, educational-testing, or emergency tasks.
8. Free and paid features
PhotoProof may offer free features and a paid PhotoProof Family subscription. Feature limits may vary by plan and may change as permitted by law. The currently available features and price are those shown in the app before purchase.
9. Apple subscriptions
Paid iOS subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Payment is charged to the purchaser’s Apple Account. Unless otherwise stated at purchase, subscriptions automatically renew for the same period until canceled through Apple’s subscription settings.
Any free trial, introductory offer, renewal price, billing period, and eligibility conditions will be displayed before purchase. Deleting PhotoProof or a PhotoProof account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Eligible purchases may be restored using the Restore Purchases function.
Refunds and billing disputes are generally handled under Apple’s applicable policies. PhotoProof does not receive or store complete payment-card information.
10. Account security
Users must provide accurate information, protect sign-in credentials and the parent PIN, prevent unauthorized Face ID access, and promptly notify PhotoProof of suspected compromise. The adult account holder is responsible for activity performed through the account unless prohibited by law.
11. Suspension and termination
PhotoProof may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security threats, legal requirements, nonpayment, repeated violations, or risk to a child or another person. Where appropriate, notice and an opportunity to appeal may be provided.
Users may stop using PhotoProof and request account deletion. Certain information may be retained when legally required or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcement.
12. Service changes and availability
PhotoProof may add, remove, modify, or discontinue features. The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, outages, third-party failures, Apple platform changes, or events outside reasonable control.
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent allowed by law, PhotoProof is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, uninterrupted operation, and error-free or perfectly accurate proof verification.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, PhotoProof and its owners, affiliates, employees, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, family disputes, device-access interruption, or harm caused by reliance on a proof result.
The final liability cap, required exceptions, jurisdiction-specific consumer rights, and any exclusion that cannot legally be waived must be completed by counsel before release.
15. Indemnity
To the extent allowed by law, the adult account holder agrees to defend and indemnify PhotoProof from claims arising from unlawful use, submitted content, lack of authority over a paired device, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person’s rights.
16. Governing law and disputes
The governing law, venue, arbitration terms if any, small-claims rights, opt-out procedure, and consumer-law disclosures must be inserted before launch.
17. Changes to these Terms
PhotoProof may update these Terms. Material changes may be communicated in the app, on the website, or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
18. Contact
The legal company name, mailing address, and support email must be inserted before release and must match the App Store listing.
